Running Chicago

The weather in the Windy City has mostly been generously warm this autumn. Sure, it is windy enough, and sometimes close to 0 degrees Celsius and often the sun does not come out the whole day. But it is more than perfect for running Chicago. I have now really become a runner and I can say that because other runners have started to greet me on the trail! I guess the warm-weather-runners don`t come out to jog in fog. I read in my runners` blogs that the difference between a jogger and a runner is the registration sheet so I did my second race this morning, the Lincoln Park Turkey Trot (its Thanksgiving!). It was 8 kilometers and I felt just great running it with 52.56, which was even some twenty seconds below my goal. Of course, I have a great staff, too - my coach, logistics department and photographer all in one Clerg. Here are the pictures and we are soon off to our first Thanksgiving Turkey Dinner at the Deans. I`ll update you on this after we will also have survived the Black Friday, the mad shopping day that will follow tomorrow. Happy Thanksgiving, folks!

  2. Aitäh Mannu! Should the Santa bring you a a new cute running skort for motivation? Those little races help me train a lot - a race in every four weeks and a fitting tailor-made training plan from Runners World PLUS the possibility to eat anything that comes across without any bad feelings should do it, ei vä? :-)
