The Weekend Report from the South Water Street

This weekend had a very stressful start. On Friday, we decided to go for a little stroll down the Michigan Avenue, aka the Magnificent Mile, to perhaps relaxingly already get some Christmas presents bought, and also post my Godchildren`s birthday present on our way. Not only was this the idea that at least another million people had, but also going to the Ohio Street post office was one of the worst service experiences in my life. And I still remember the Soviet times! Anyway, after an hour and ten minutes of standing in three different lines three times we had to take a cab home for two reasons. First, we had to put on some warm clothes to go and see the Chicago LLM beat the Northwestern LLMs in soccer, and secondly, because I was losing it. Or perhaps the other way around. Luckily, these were the only negative emotions of the weekend - below is our weekly report.

Despite the Friday afternoon rush hour we finally made it to the game. All our new friends were playing, and Clerg was taking pictures.
It was freezing out there, but for the first hour, it did not kill the spirits of the sparse spectators. When asked, it turned out that the reason of scheduling the match for such a late and cold time of the day was so that it would look more professional.
Well, other than that, there was nothing professional about it. The poor guys did not even have a referee and were pretty much biting each others` heads off by the time Northwestern was leading 2:1.
The outcome did not change, unfortunately, but we tried to melt the ice by eating Chicago`s famous (and delicious!) Giordano`s Pizza delivered to the Chicago University`s Law School cafeteria after the match.
All wives and girlfriends were properly wearing their sweaters. Since the post office experience was so traumatic, both our families are looking at a bulk delivery of those for Christmas. (Size and preferred color can be listed in the comments below).
On Saturday, we stayed low and walked along the Oak Street beach enjoying the last straws of light in the chilly afternoon.
Next weekend`s report will come to you from Orem, Utah. Have a great start to the week and stay tuned!
